Job Description

Position is with a software development company at the forefront of technology. Help clients to manage the lifecycle of their products, saving them time, money, and helping them to be compliant with product regulations.

The PLM Consultant will learn the company’s PLM solution, and then go to customer sites to configure, customize, and design technical business solutions.

The individual in this position needs to have a technical background to be able to understand the company’s software solution. From there, the company will invest in training this individual to implement and configure the software. The individual will build on this knowledge and grow into being able to analyze customer needs and put together business solutions.

A position in this company offers definite opportunity to grow into more senior roles and build a rewarding long term career.

Must be open to 80% travel. The first year is expected to be located at a customer site in Chicago, but subsequent client engagements could be located elsewhere.

Experience:
The ideal candidate will have:
5 years of experience in asp.net programming and databases. Will consider slightly less years of experience. Does not necessarily need to have PLM experience.
Some experience customizing a software package for customers.
Experience working with a simple or complex application with .net and backend databases.
Oracle is the preferred database with PL/SQL experience, also ok is Microsoft SQL server experience.
Must have good customer facing skills and be good at analysis.
