Summary

As the Senior Network Engineer you will be responsible for the Corporate Data Center systems. Defining standards and serving as a high level technical resource for other world-wide locations will be a primary function of your role. You will have a primary focus on WAN connectivity, optimization, and security.

Job responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

• Recommending, configuring, and deploying new technology solutions, as needed.
• Troubleshooting service failures and maintaining knowledgebase for future issues
• Monitoring network infrastructure and proactively maintaining complex infrastructure
• The Senior Network Engineer will be expected to work Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, however, the potential for working after hours or holiday coverage is a regular occurrence, and will also be a requirement.
• The role requires participation in the on-call rotation for support of the corporate IT infrastructure for which they are responsible, and also serve as the 2nd level on-call person for other IT members of the rotation.

Experience Required

As the Senior Network Engineer, you will possess expert knowledge of the field. You will work on critical issues and the most complex projects. The ideal candidate will possess the following background, experience and attributes:

• 10+ years related work experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in a Information Technology or related field
• In-depth knowledge of Cisco routers and network equipment
• Excellent understanding of networking protocols and troubleshooting
• Experience with regulatory compliance and security audits (SOX, HIPAA, ISO, etc) and
• Intrusion Prevention Systems
• Experience with monitoring tools
• Possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to work in a group and provide technical expertise to the group
• Documenting new or existing processes
• Solving non-routine and complex issues with respect to hardware, software, network, etc
• Ability to lift 50 Lbs

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of most of following software and hardware listed below:

• Cisco PIX/FWSM experience
• Juniper ScreenOS/Netscreen experience
• Juniper SSL VPN
• Checkpoint NGX/Provider-1
• RSA SecureID experience
• Riverbed WAN optimization
• VMware – ESX, Virtual Center
• Unix/Linux
• Bluecoat proxy
• Network analysis tools such as Etherpeek, wireshark
• Antivirus (workstation/server and web [ICAP])
• Tipping Point IPS
• Scripting
• CCNP
• SAN
• Microsoft MOM/SCOM
• Hands-on experience with Dell PowerEdge servers
• MPLS
• BGP
