Summary
Supports Sales (account reps, technical pre-sales, business development to pursue and close software and consulting services business at existing automotive, machinery and propulsion customer accounts and new prospects. Authors services proposals that contain the scope, schedule and cost to complete services engagements that meet Siemens PLM quality and financial objectives. Responsible for meeting revenue and margin goals for A&D vertical. Completes monthly billing for services projects, as required. Assists resource mangers in assigning services personnel to engagement Projects. For the delivery phase of a services engagement, potentially act as a technical lead and project manager, as required. Prerequisites and Essential Functions:
PLM Pursuit Manager – Vertical Industry Segment
Position description: This is a position within the Siemens PLM Software’s Professional [Consulting] Services organization (Verticals Services). This position reports to the Director, Professional Services. This is a senior technical Services position that supports Sales in the pursuit of Teamcenter services and software business within an industry vertical at existing customers and new customer prospects. This position manages the process of defining, proposing, presenting, and closing Teamcenter-based Services projects at existing customers and new customer prospects. This position works in a team environment consisting of account executive, business development, and technical pre-sales roles. This is a “Services” position and is not commissioned-based. Compensation is in the form of base salary plus incentives based on Western Region + Americas business performance.
Experience Required
Qualifications – The most qualified PLM Pursuit Manager candidates will have the following:
• BS, MS, or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a very closely related discipline. • In depth knowledge of the A&D industry and the FAA regulatory environment highly desirable. • At least ten (10) years of PDM experience with the Siemens PLM Software’s Teamcenter Enterprise and Teamcenter Engineering core applications. • Experience with and/or knowledge of the extended Teamcenter (TC) application suite (TC Community, TC Visualization, TC Manufacturing, TC Project, and TC Systems Engineering) • Experience with the Siemens PLM CAD products (I-DEAS, NX, and Solid Edge) is highly desired. • Minimum five (5) years experience in the profitable deployment of PLM solutions. • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with Sales to support software/services solution selling. • Experience in managing a minimum of five (5) large PLM projects of various process focus.
• Demonstrated ability to consult with business, IS, and engineering customers to understand customer business and process issues and to define Teamcenter-based solutions to address them. • Practiced in developing comprehensive statements of work and responses to requests for proposal (RFP’s). • Demonstrated professional services business development and management performance. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills. • Excellent recruiting and resource management skills. • Excellent customer relationship skills. • Excellent people management skills. • Excellent verifiable references. • US citizen strongly preferred.
