Job Description

This role would be responsible for translating business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for moderately complex IT solutions and integrating architecture. They will act as the ultimate authority on the architecture design to address business problems.

The role will provide hi-level strategic (3-5 year view) direction for Teamcenter design, deployment and rollout activities. Experience working on complex PLM projects requiring intermediate- to high-level industry knowledge and experience with construction or heavy industry preferred.

Job responsibilities

Prerequisites and Essential Functions

• Align Client strategic (3-5 year horizon) initiatives and Teamcenter roadmap Define high-level functional and data architecture requirements and use cases mapped to product solutions.

• Work with application specialists in multiple areas to formulate an integrated solution to Client process requirements.

• Provide process and technology recommendations across all Client product development and manufacturing operations initiatives, based on current/future Client practices and data, current product offerings, and PLM strategic product direction.

• Define plan and align to Client technology infrastructure standards and directions.

• Define strategy for migrating from current state, which today includes Siemens Teamcenter Portfolio (including TcEngineering, TcManufacturing, TcCommunity, TcEnterprise, Technomatix, IPEM, etc.) and also includes competing products, legacy systems, unique use cases and data, etc.

• Manage Portfolio of Client initiatives and the alignment over time with PLM product direction.
Coordinate the planning, scheduling and delivery of product solutions that meet Client functional and quality expectations on-time.

• Develop and communicate new release content and schedules.

• Mentor others on the application of Siemens PLM technology, products, processes, and standards.

Experience Required

• BS or MS in Engineering or Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.

• 10 years of industry experience with at least 5 years of Teamcenter Engineering or IMAN experience in implementation and customization.

• Strong team leading skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with a wide range of individuals in a wide range of situations which usually requires tact, diplomacy, and discretion.

• Well-developed organization / time management skills.

• Ability to multi task, prioritize and escalate tasks appropriately.

• A high level of organization and confidence in ones own ability to handle difficult customer issues, pull together appropriate resources and move forward to work toward resolution of ultimately customer satisfaction.

• Strong teaming/negotiating skills required to manage diverse customers and Siemens teams of approximately 25 to 100 (combined Siemens/Customer) resources.
